Free weekly newsletter
The Faxel Outdoors Newsletter
A short, useful email from me each week in season. No fluff, just what I'd tell a buddy who asked what's going on out there.
Free. One email a week during the season. Unsubscribe anytime.
What's in it
- Upcoming Illinois season dates, permit deadlines, and draws
- Rut, waterfowl migration, and upland bird updates around the Midwest
- Public-land scouting ideas and access tips
- Trapping sets, gear notes, and fur-season reminders
- My newest YouTube videos and the story behind them
- Grouse Quest trip planning and reports
- First look at new guides and merch, plus subscriber-only discounts
How it works
It's free right now. Down the road I plan to add an optional paid tier with deeper reports and the downloadable guides. The free weekly email stays free.
Regs change. I'll always point you to the official IDNR source, and you're responsible for confirming before you hunt.
When it shows up
Fall & winter
Weekly. Deer, waterfowl, upland, and trapping season is when there's the most to talk about.
Spring
Turkey, fishing, and getting ready for next fall.
Summer
Lighter. Scouting, gear, permit deadlines, and prep.
